I know, no one is thinking about General Conference right now. But tonight I'm showing my board to my mom's Relief Society group, and I wanted to have the printables available to them if they decided to complete this project. If any of you are interested... you have three and a half months to complete it. :)
Two days before General Conference, I stumbled across this idea for engaging young children.... and I thought it was absolutely amazing. (And so are most of the ideas found on Jen Lund's blog - check it out!)
One of the main reasons I love this idea, is that it doesn't just distract young children from being disruptive during Conference, but it engages them and encourages them to listen! I'm not gonna lie. It took time to put together, but I am positive that Harvey will enjoy working with this board. That will hopefully translate into Justin and I being able to listen, and that will make all of my hard work worth it in the end.
Here's how it works...
Everything uses Velcro to move and switch around speakers and pictures depending on what is happening during Conference. (I found clear Velcro dots in the craft isle at Walmart, and if you look really closely at the photos you can see the little Velcro circles.) The clock has moveable hands and the little temple identifies the session of Conference.
All of the speakers (there are pictures for all the auxiliaries, and 6 general "man" pictures to represent anyone from the Quorum of the Seventies) start out in the pockets on the left side. At the beginning of a talk, Harvey can find their picture in the folders, then move him or her to the podium. After they are finished speaking, he can move them to their red chair. The first presidency sits in the top three chairs, the Quorum of the 12 sits in the next two rows, and the others just sit in the bottom two rows according to the order in which they spoke.
While the speaker is at the podium, Harvey can add topics cards to the speech bubble. This is what it would look like if Elder Holland was speaking about choosing the right, the holy ghost, and obedience...
The topics cards are on the right side of the board when they are not in use...

I've been wanting to add a few things to our board, and I finally made the time to sit down and get it done. I'm so excited for my kids to use the updated board in a couple of weeks!
Here is the whole board, so you can see where I added new items:
I also added a map. Jen Lund had a map on her original board, and I went back and forth on including it due to space, but I finally decided to make it work. I added an airplane, like she has, to move around any time a country is mentioned. I also added 5 of our favorite temples, so my children can place them on the map wherever new temples are announced.
I also wanted to add a little more diversity to our anonymous Quorum of the 70s guys, since there are men called from all over the world, after all. I added a couple more skin colors.
(end edit)
Isn't this idea amazing?! Jen Lund offered to e-mail all of her files upon request, but she was in the hospital having a sweet baby boy during Conference weekend. I got so antsy/excited about this idea that I compiled my own files... and then she e-mailed me back. She said she didn't mind if I shared my files, so here you go! (I found most of the files on lds.org.)
Here are all of the printouts for the board. You'll have to print a couple of the pages more than once, but it's noted in the file. You can preview, print or share from this, but you can't download. See my explanation below. CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD and save this file to your computer.
Here are the topics cards. Print this out twice: adhere one copy to the board, then cut the second copy up for the individual cards. Feel free to use all of my pictures, but if you'd like to personalize your family, father, and mother cards, just cut the label off the bottom and glue it on your own photo. Then laminate. You can preview, print or share from this, but you can't download. See my explanation below. CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD and save this file to your computer.
After I cut out all of the pictures and text, arranged them how I wanted them on the board, and attached them with a glue stick, I covered the board with contact paper. Then I added all of the Velcro circles to everything. I found clear dots at Wal-mart by the scrapbooking supplies for about 4 dollars a pack. (I needed 2 packets, plus a few extra dots to complete the board. (EDIT: with the updates, it's close to 3 packets.)
For the colored pockets, I glued on the labels, laminated them closed, and then used an exact-o knife to slice along the opening (just enough to cut through the laminate to "open" the pocket). I didn't even bother to glue them together first. After laminating, I didn't cut them out separately. It was easier to attach the two pages with pop dots to the board. If you have any questions about how to assemble the board, feel free to e-mail me (dayinmylifeblog@gmail.com) or leave a comment! And if you make one, I would love to see a picture!
I can't wait until General Conference!!!
**Okay... I'm having a little trouble keeping these available to you through box.com. Without boring you with too much detail, I'm only allotted so much bandwidth, and since these files are fairly large (130MB when downloaded together) my 10 GB bandwidth is exceeded fast. Sooooo, I know it's totally confusing, but I like being able to show you a preview of what you are getting and there is also a feature to print right from this blog, so I'm keeping the box.com widgets here. But the links to download, if you so desire, will now be through dropbox.com. If you missed the links earlier, here they are again:
General Conference Board (updated 10/1/19)
General Conference Board Topics (updated 10/2/18)
**I normally update the original file each time, so you don't need to download or print the updates if you are putting this together for the first time. The updates are just for those who downloaded and put together the board before the new people were called. :)
**But I don't have time to update the original file right now.. make sure you grab the updates you need!

My jaw is on the floor. This is AWESOME Tiff!!!!! I will be doing this one day FOR SURE.
ReplyDeleteHey Tiff, this is Jenny Evans Hsiao. I was in Nauvoo with you and I clicked on your blog from Mary and Martin's. I'm so glad I did! You are seriously amazing! So organized and creative. You have some awesome wonderful ideas and this General Conference board is just perfect for my two little boys. Maybe if I start now I can get it done by October. If you don't mind I'll be checking back on your blog for more inspiration from you, because boy do I need it. I'm not creative or crafty, but I do appreciate ideas like this. Thanks!
Saludos desde Monterrey, Nuevo León, México.

This is so awesome! Thank you for the printables. What a great way to keep kids engages and busy.
ReplyDeleteThis is just amazing Tiff!!
ReplyDeleteBoth the links for Jen Lund's website aren't working
ReplyDeleteThanks for letting me know! I'm not sure what is going on right now with her website... I follow her blog through feedly.com and it was updated 8 days ago. I'll give it a couple days, and if it doesn't get sorted out I'll remove the links.
DeleteSorry about that! Check back... her blog is seriously awesome!
This is so amazing! Thank you for sharing all of your hard work.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much! (Although I can't claim credit for the amazing idea..)
DeleteHi Tiffany! My website has been down since August 31st because something is wrong with the website hosting our domain name. We've been working on getting it back up, and I'm hoping that it will be resolved super soon. (It's driving me crazy!) I will let you know if I have to change domains. So sorry!
ReplyDeleteWhat a relief! (I have to admit, since becoming aware of this, I've been checking everyday! I was starting to get worried because I really love your blog!) Can't wait to see it up and running again. :)
DeleteThis is incredibly amazing. Thank you for your hard work and sharing!!
ReplyDeleteYou bet!!
DeleteSo excited, I am gonna have it ready by Conference, I can do this :o)
ReplyDeleteIt's back up, Tiffany :) Yippee! And I just updated my General Conference board and used your graphic of the conversation bubble. Thank you so much!
ReplyDeleteYay!! And you're welcome!
DeleteSaw this on Pinterest. This is completely amazing! I think my kids will really love it and (hopefully) be a little more engaged in GC this year. Thanks so much for sharing all your files!
ReplyDeleteYou are welcome! I'm all about keeping the kiddos engaged!
DeleteThanks for this! I am trying to download your files but it says your bandwidth has been exceeded. I know I can print right from your blog, but I'd love to have the files saved on my computer. :) Thanks!
ReplyDeleteWow! Thanks for letting me know. I didn't even know I had a limit...
DeleteI just searched it, and box.com gives each account member a certain amount of "sharing" bandwidth each month, once that 1TB is reached, nothing else can be downloaded until the next month. Fortunately, that starts over tomorrow.
In the meantime, I've posted temporary links for you to download the files.
What is the size of the board?
ReplyDeleteI bought an Elmer's Tri-fold display board. It's 46 inches wide and 35.5 inches tall. If you can't find it at a store like Walmart, try an office supply store. :)
DeleteHi! Do you have the temporary link still? It says you exceeded your limit. October 4th and you are already there! You are a popular gal!
ReplyDeleteHoly Smokes!!! I've got to figure out another solution... Thanks for letting me know. I've updated the post with the new links. :)
DeleteHey! I am so excited about this! I'm working on putting one together right now. So that I can laminate the individual pictures with packing tape, I am printing out the people at 90%, and the topics at 80%. This was a LOT of work for you - thank you so much for sharing it!
ReplyDeleteOh, great idea! That will save others lots of money on laminating... because there is quite a bit that little hands can touch. ;) Thanks for sharing the percentages to make it easy!
DeleteI just finished the board! It's 1:08 am on Friday night, but it is done! I love it and I am so excited to share it with my kids tomorrow. Thanks again- I'm sure many families, including my own, will be having a better conference experience this weekend because of you.
ReplyDelete1 AM! Ahh, a girl after my own heart! Most of my projects get done in the wee hours of the night. Hope the board worked well for you!
DeleteThis is a great board, we used today and my boys definitely paid more attention than before. My husband had a great idea for an addition, a scripture mastery area with OT, NT, Book of Mormon and DC and they can identify and tally how many scripture mastery scriptures are used.
ReplyDeleteThat's a great idea! I might incorporate that in a few years when my son gets a little older. Thanks for sharing!
DeleteBTW thanks for sharing all of your work, it was easy to print laminate, cut and assemble. You are awesome to share :)
ReplyDeleteHey, this is so awesome! I love it. Thank you so much for sharing it with us.
ReplyDeleteI downloaded both files. The one with pictures of the general authorities printed fine except for the 4 pages with pictures of the authorities on it.
Then the topics wouldn't print at all.
I am wondering if there is something I am doing wrong. Is there any other form of these files?
Try just printing it directly from the site... ?
DeleteWhat a great idea! Wish I saw this sooner, but I'm going to try and get it done by next week. Thanks for sharing the files!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea for when you have only 1 child. But I can see this getting way out of hand when you have more than one trying to change things on the board.
ReplyDeleteJen Lund has binders for her older kids to work in, while her youngest manages the board. I like that solution as well.
DeleteAlthough, Harvey's little cousin will be in town for General Conference and they are both still a little bit too young to fill in binders, so we will see how well they work together on the board. ;)
Thank you for such a great resource! I will be able to create this for my family in no time, thank you for all your hard work.
ReplyDeleteI just had to thank you, along with the others, for sharing all of your hard work. I printed everything yesterday, hit up the stores today and will finish tomorrow just in time for Conference on Saturday. I LOVE it!! This will be something we have for years and I am so excited about it!! THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI have tired several ways to keep my daughter engaged in listening to conference, but as you said they were all ways to keep her quiet. I love this idea and I know it will help her to understand what is being shared. Thank you for sharing your hard work!
ReplyDeleteAmazing!! I saw this on Jen's blog but LOVED your printables! I was up until 2 am finishing last night. I noticed it looks like 2 of the Quorum of the Seventy have changed. Is there an easy template to use to replace them with the new pics on lds.org? I'd love them to look close tot he ones you did! Thanks so much for all your hard work!
ReplyDeleteI mean the Presidency of The Seventy (Ulisses Soares and Craig C Christensen)
DeleteOh man! I thought I was all up to date (and Bro. Christensen was called a year ago!). I'll update the original file, and also link to an "add-on" so you don't have to print the whole page of stuff you don't need. Sorry about that!
DeleteOh my gosh don't be sorry! You are amazing for even doing this and then being so sweet to share with all of us! Thank you thank you!
DeleteJust wanted to make sure and say THANK YOU SO MUCH for sharing! I just finished mine, and I have moved on to some other ideas to try to keep the grandkids busy so I can listen and write in my Conference Journal I found in another pin. Lol! Love your site and you totally ROCK for sharing this!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much!! I just finished my board for this weekend, and we are so excited to use it! Thanks for sharing!!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I made one and love it!
ReplyDeleteYou are awesome!! Thank you so much for the update!!! I had hope that I would at least be able to contact you to find out the size of the picture/font, etc...but here you are on top of it and have it done!!! Sweet, this is our 2nd conference using the board, it has much more attention this time around, especially from my 16yr old, lol
ReplyDeleteI love this! I've been meaning to put this together ever since I came across it last year. I'm finally getting it all put together for October. I didn't quite get it finished for April. Will you be putting up images for the new YW General Presidency?
ReplyDeleteThey are already up.. download the update ("70s/YW Presidencies Update") linked at the end of the post.. :)
DeleteI am amazed that you not only provided all the original work, but even updates...YOU ARE AMAZING!!! I have a 4, 2, and 1 year old, and when I hear them look at me with a thrilled expression saying "mom, they just talked about love, we better put it on the board" I could cry. Thank you!!
ReplyDeleteAmazing!!! Thanks for sharing all of your hard work!
ReplyDeleteI made this in the spring and am back for the updates. Thank you so much for all your hard work and for making it available to all!
ReplyDeleteI was doing my update and noticed there's one missing...Randall L. Ridd, the second counselor in Young Men. I printed his picture from lds.org, but I would love it with the nice name at the bottom:). Plus I thought you may want to know. Thank you for sharing this!!!
ReplyDeleteErika - thanks for letting me know! I've added Bro. Ridd to the 70s/YW/YM update so you can download now. :)
DeleteBut I haven't updated the original yet. I thought I would wait to see if there will be any other changes.
I just made this for this October conference, but the velcro pieces kept coming off the laminated pictures. My 2 year old had lots of fun just peeling off all the velcro! Where did you buy your velcro dots? Is there a special kind for lamination? Thanks for the great idea!! We loved it, despite the velcro malfunction!
ReplyDeleteSomehow I missed this comment! Sorry..
DeleteI bought my Velcro dots in the craft section at Walmart. They are about 1/2 inch big, and clear. They are pretty sticky, so it would be hard to peel off, but if that's what your little one is into, there are no guarantees! :)
Amazing! I love this so much. I made one in two days, just in time for Conference. My kids loved it and I fully expect this to become a family tradition the kids fight over when they have kids of their own. Thank you SO much for all the printable!! What a big job. You made the project completely doable for me. I just got put into the primary presidency and I plan to use it in sharing time as well. Look out kids! You are going to learn:) One question. I love the little faceless quorum of the 70 cards because I'm too lazy to print and laminate all the current ones and every time when they change. Do you have a similar card for female speakers. Again, I'm too lazy to print out the current female cards because I know they will change. But the kids definitely missed having a card that represented a female speaker.
ReplyDeleteHere is where you can see how mine turned out if you're interested. Thanks again so much. Awesome! Loved it!

Sorry, I missed your comment!
DeleteAs of right now, it's enough work for me to keep everything updated with the real pictures of the female auxiliary, but maybe in the future I'll get around to making a "general" woman card. Maybe you can just find some clipart to use? :)
I just wanted to thank you again for the amazing printables. I just found another use for all the subject cards. I made them into a Bingo poster for primary. You can see how it turned out here: http://findingmystamp.blogspot.com/2014/01/primary-posters.html
ReplyDeleteThanks so much.
How awesome!! I love it!
ReplyDeleteThanks for all your work! I downloaded the updated version and all that will print is the first page, all other pages are blank. Any suggestions? Thanks.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing this! I love it :)
ReplyDeleteI was wondering where you found the pictures for the temples. I was hoping to print out some of our favorite temples, too.
Maybe just to an image search for your favorite temple then print and cut the background off?
DeleteI LOVE this! They shared a sample of your board at our RS meeting tonight. I downloaded the file, but for some reason pages 4-7 (the 1st Presidency, Quorum of the 12, Seventy and other auxillary leaders pictures) won't print out for me, it just runs blank pages through my printer. I uploaded via dropbox to ask my daughter if she'd try printing it, and when I opened the file and tried to print those pages the print preview just shows blank pages. Please help! What can I do?
ReplyDeleteWeird! I don't have any trouble with it, so I'm clueless on how to fix it. If anyone has any other ideas, let me know!
DeleteAnnie Reed, I just figured out a 'fix' for our printing problem. I'd originally downloaded & tried to print from my downloaded file. I found if I click on the 'box' print buttons from the 2 boxes with files above I can print the missing pages. Thanks again Tiffany & Jen for all your hard work & being willing to share with the rest of us!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you found a solution. Thanks for posting it here for anyone else who has trouble!
DeleteThanks so much for sharing this! I have a 15-yr-old, 11-yr-old twins and a 5-yr-old. I made my board with the 5-yr-old in mind--he gets a bit neglected as we tend to gear FHEs, etc to the older boys. But I knew the other kids would love it too. I wanted to share a couple of changes I made to it. First of all, I bought my display board at Walgreens, and it wasn't as big as the one you have, so the topics weren't all going to fit down the side, and the map wouldn't fit on the side piece. So I'm putting the topics and the speaker pictures in a separate binder. I put only 15 chairs on the main section, and put the map at the bottom. The other 12 chairs are on the right side, and I added a laminated lined square so the bigger boys can do a brief summary/suggested title for each speaker's talk. My favorite addition, though, was the idea of my teenager. He wanted me to print off the scripture mastery verses, and when a speaker uses one, he can put it in the "bubble" with the topic pictures! I think this is going to be used for years at our house, and I love how I can adapt it and keep the older boys a part of it!
ReplyDeleteAwesome! Thanks for noting your changes... I love to hear how this board has helped others. And I love your idea to add the scripture mastery versus to the speech bubble! In a couple of years I'm definitely going to add that feature!
Deletewhat font did you use to type the words with?
ReplyDeleteThe large titles are in CK Becky, and everything else is Century Gothic. :)
DeleteHi I am from Peru, and this idea has helped my 4 years old twins granddaughters at the Conference. They felt an active part of it. They speak a little english and the material was used as it is originally by their mom and dad. God bless you for sharing this amazing idea. It has helped my daughter to maintain reverence during the conference at home and it is a smart way to make the children participate the entire sessions.
ReplyDeleteI love it! Thanks for sharing. It warms my heart to hear how it is helping others. :)
DeleteThanks for sharing. I will email a picture of my finished board if you would like to see it.
ReplyDeleteI would love to see it!
DeleteI am having trouble downloading the general conference board on to drop box. I was able to get the topic on and the update but not the board. Any idea? Can you email me the files or is it to big?
ReplyDeleteThanks!
I finally had a chance to check this out... and Dropbox disabled the link as a "precautionary feature" - who knows why. Anyway, I updated all of the links, and also added the new Sunday School Presidency and 70's Presidency into the file. Try it again!
DeleteI can't seem to download two of your four files. I can download the GC Updates, and the Conference Board Topics but the other two have a lock on them. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks for all you do!!
ReplyDeleteI finally had a chance to check this out... and Dropbox disabled the link as a "precautionary feature" - who knows why. Anyway, I updated all of the links, and also added the new Sunday School Presidency and 70's Presidency into the file. Try it again!
DeleteThank you so much for the updates and for all your hard work. You are so awesome!
DeleteI have one more question. I would like to use my family for the picture of family but try as I might, I cannot get the picture to fit snug in the table in either Word or Excel. Would you possibly tell me how you made your topic cards?
DeleteI made mine in Photoshop. But I have an idea for you: print (either at home or at a store) your family picture small enough to fit inside a 2.5x2.5 square - either eyeball it from a 4x6 picture, or print it wallet sized (sized 2.5x3.5, so you'll cut an inch off). Then print my topics cards as normal, and cut off the white "Family" label from my family picture and glue it right on top of yours. Then laminate. :)
DeleteI'm also trying to download the files to make a General Conference Board in the next week so we will be ready for Conference coming up. Can you email me your files: aprildbird@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteThanks!

DeleteHi! Your General Conference Board is RAD! I too have tried to open the files but I am unable to. I'd love to make one for this upcoming October conference. Any chance you have a moment to email me all your hard work, I mean files? email: jthall1@gmail.com You are really talented and thank you in advance for sharing so generously.
ReplyDeleteThank you,
Tara

DeleteAnyone else printing blank pages? I can't get pages 4-7 of the first doc, or the topics cards to print. I just get blank pages. I even uninstalled/reinstalled my printer. I can't for the life of me figure this out.
ReplyDeleteA couple of other people mentioned having this problem... but I couldn't figure it out either. One of them commented:
DeleteAnnie Reed, I just figured out a 'fix' for our printing problem. I'd originally downloaded & tried to print from my downloaded file. I found if I click on the 'box' print buttons from the 2 boxes with files above I can print the missing pages. Maybe that will work for you?
I switched to Google Chrome and it printed. Thank you!
DeleteThank you so much for all your hard work. My girls LOVE our conference board. I pulled it out this week to update it and their eyes just lit up. They knew it meant conference was coming and they were excited! Thank you for doing the updates too. We just LOVE having this board!
ReplyDeleteMaybe this is a dumb question, but how did you attach the pockets, chairs, map, choirs, etc. to the board? Since they are laminated I didn't think that glue would work. So, tape? Thanks for all your work on this and for keeping it up to date. (From a mom of 6 trying to finish this before tomorrow.)
ReplyDeleteI didn't separately laminate the things that stay on the board.. I glued the chairs, map, choirs, podium, flat sheets of topics, etc. on with a glue stick, then covered the entire board with clear contact paper. The only exception was the pockets, which I did laminate, (then sliced open with an exacto knife) then attached with glue dots over the contact paper. Then I added the velcro dots onto everything on top of the contact paper. Hopefully that made sense.
DeleteWhen I originally made my board I totally finished DURING Conference... haha. Good luck with yours! :)
Do you have an update with the new YM Presidency and Primary Counselor?
ReplyDeleteHey - I finally updated these.. See the end of the post for the download link. :)
DeleteI just stumbled across your amazing idea! Absolutely incredible. I am definitely going to create one for my kiddos to start using! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteI was also checking to see if you have the calling updates from last conference? Mine is almost done! So excited for the kids to see it!
ReplyDeleteHey - I finally updated these.. See the end of the post for the download link. :)
DeleteHey! I came across your idea and it's amazing! I'm having troubles printing, though. When I print preview the names and words are all mixed up and in different places. Do you know what's happening? Do I need to change settings?
ReplyDeleteSo weird. People have had this problem in the past and I have NO idea why! You could try to print from different places - print directly from the blog, save to your computer and print when opened, etc. Maybe one way will work with your computer and printer? I am so sorry I can't help more!
DeleteThank you so much for making this and letting all us not so creative moms be able to use your idea. Seriously you have no idea how excited I am to make and use this for this conference. My boys (age 1 and 3) i think will totally enjoy it. Thank you so much!!! Your a genius!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Tiffany, I'm having trouble printing as well. I didn't have any problems with printing before you put the updates on though. Everything is moved up on the pages so they're getting cut off, and the names of the General YM Presidency and the Primary Presidency prints mixed up and in tiny font. I'm wondering it you might have changed something when you updated?
ReplyDeleteIm having the same problem.
DeleteI am so sorry some of you are having troubles with the document printing. Have you tried printing straight from the blog? Or downloading and then printing from your computer? I can't recreate the problem on my end so I don't know how to help. I don't think I changed how I saved or anything this go around... :(
DeleteI forgot to mention that it only shows it in the print preview... not when you look at the document. Thanks so much! The time you put into to keeping this updated is so amazing. Thank you thank you thank you!
ReplyDeleteThe pictures of Conference Topics wont print for me. All of the other downloads did and so have other documents I have. Any suggestions?
ReplyDeleteI printed the updates today (no problems doing it) and found one error--kind of an error. John S Tanner of the Sunday School Presidency was released in June. He's now the president of BYU-Hawaii and Brian K Ashton was put in.
ReplyDeleteHow soon after the announcement of the new apostles will you have their pictures up? My girls are excited to add them to our conference center.
Thanks for the heads up Nicol! I didn't notice the new picture when I updated everything last week. I will try to find time to get his picture up before Conference, but life is a little crazy and I might wait until the new apostles are called and do it all at once. My family is always excited for the new pictures as well, so I try to get everything updated as soon as I can find official individual pictures on lds.org or the lds newsroom. Sometimes that doesn't happen before Conference is over. I will try to get them up as soon as possible! :)
DeleteThanks sooo much for this! I'm about done making mine and can't wait to use it this weekend!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! Thanks especially for including the updates for YM & Primary! I appreciate your hard work! =)
ReplyDeleteI have to add my thanks here--I have been using your page for the last few years and am SO, SO THANKFUL for this resource!!! I am sorry I have not thanked you for your efforts before. I am so grateful for the time that you take to update everything with the changes each time. We do not have a board just like this, but we use the leaders' pictures on our own "speaker board" and it is a cherished tradition. I have also used many of your topic pictures on cars to a "conference topic train" that we like to build on the wall in our living room. Thank you so much for providing such a valuable resource. Thank you for carving out some of your precious time to maintain this. You have helped our family so much!!!
ReplyDeleteSuch fun ideas - so glad you are able to use the printables in ways that work with your family!
DeleteThank you so much for the updates! My kids LOVE using this board during conference and I love that I can come back to get new pictures and that it doesn't become obsolete. Looking forward to the next update with new Apostles after they are announced! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for this and for keeping the pictures updated so quickly!!! I loved it and my kids enjoyed it during Conference.
ReplyDeleteThank you for continuing to update the Board! I use it every 6 months!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! We use our board every Conference and I'm so thankful for the updates! =)
ReplyDeleteHave you updated the new apostles and I've missed it some place? thanks
ReplyDeleteI know my comment is WAY late, but everything is updated now if you haven't been able to find it. :)
DeleteThanks for the updates about the new apostles. I was checking the Ensign and in the updates there are two pictures missing. One it is from the presidency of the Seventy, Gerrit W. Wong and the other from the Presiding Bishopric, W. Christopher Waddell. Thanks for taking the ti,e to serve others and bless the lives of many families.
ReplyDeleteThanks for doing the work for me.. sorry I didn't update until today! :)
DeleteThank you SO much for this wonderful resource! I come back every six months to get the updated. I have had a few friends ask where I got the idea for my Conference Board and I always send them straight here! Thank you so much for doing all the work of making it easy for us to copy you! ♥
ReplyDeleteYou are so sweet. Comments like yours make me want to keep doing it. Although, I feel like I have to mention it wasn't my idea - I copied as well! Jen Lund is simply amazing.
DeleteLooks like we need two updates for this April 2016 conference coming up:
ReplyDeleteGerrit W. Gong from the Presidency of the 70
W. Christopher Waddell from the Presiding Bishopric
also, in the YW presidency it should be Carol F. McConkie, not Carol L. McConkie
Thanks for the updates you put out every conference!
Thanks so much for your catch on Sister McConkie's name. I've included it in the new updates.
DeleteThank you thank you! You are so wonderful to share these with us! Have a great weekend!! ;)

ReplyDeleteHey Patti, I got your comment through my email, but I haven't had a chance to reply to anything until today. If you are still interested in having "The song of the righteous is a prayer unto me" e-mail me directly so I can reply with the file. :)
DeleteThank you for continuing to post recent updates. I think it would be so frustrating to make this and then not be able to update the pictures! Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!!!
ReplyDeleteI hear you! I would be so annoyed. Sorry I am cutting it so close. I haven't had a chance to do it until today. :)
DeleteI'm pretty last minute myself, lol!
DeleteGoing through tonight I seem to be missing a member of the Presidency of the 70 (Elder Gong), and of the Presiding Bishopric (Waddell). Are those in your files somewhere that I missed?
Yup. I just added them last night. See the 70s/Bishop/YW Update. It is at the bottom of the list. :)
DeleteYou are awesome! :)
DeleteTHANK YOU for somehow managing to keep up with this! Your updates are invaluable. We use them every Conference! Your work is appreciated here!!!
ReplyDeleteYou are awesome! I kept checking back to see if the updates would be here before conference, and they are. Thank you so much for sharing your time and talents with our family. :)
ReplyDeleteOh, and this is Marc's wife...although he does appreciate being able to listen more while the kids are busy with the conference board, I'm not sure he's checking for updates. ;)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for the updates! We LOVE our board! Thank you! THANK YOU!
ReplyDeleteI have been using your board with my kids for the past 3 years (at least) and have to say THANK YOU! I just updated it with all your new ideas when I googled it for a girlfriend! Love the map and the part to write in the numbers. Printed all the new pics and had to tell you how much I appreciate your time!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your updates! I made a board for our family three years ago, and I love being able to keep it current. This morning, I asked my husband not to sit on our new couch so I could take a picture of it, and when he asked why, I said, Because tomorrow is conference! He replied, "The sad thing is, that makes sense!" I know you don't have the couch on your board, but it is one of my kids' favorite features. My youngest also loves the choir and map features. Thank you so much for sharing this!
ReplyDeleteWe have been using your downloads for the Conference Board for a few years now and have loved it. Thank you for all of your hard work and for sharing such a treasure!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the updates!! My kids love the conference board!!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for the updates! I love being able to keep it up to date! My kids get so excited when I pull it out.

ReplyDeleteThanks for being patient with me! The updates are posted. :)
DeleteBeen working on this for the last year! Totally engages my 5 and 3 year old. Have you submitted this idea to the friend?
ReplyDeleteI haven't. As I mentioned in the blog, it's not my original idea... it comes from the amazing brain of Jen Lund, and I'll leave it up to her if she'd like to submit it. :)
DeleteHoping for the new primary presidency!
ReplyDeleteThanks for being patient with me! The updates are posted. :)

ReplyDeleteMy family loves our conference board! Thank you so much for sharing. I am making a few for my nieces and nephews this time around and am wondering if/when you might be updating the relief society presidency or if I should make my own (heaven forbid I actually do some work ;) ). Again, thank you so much for all the time and effort you put into this!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the reminder! Update is linked above. :)
DeleteWhere do you print your pictures of the updated presidencies? I want them to be the same size but the ones im finding are smaller. There has to be an easier way than what im doing.
ReplyDeleteI get the pics from the General Authorities/Auxillaries page on lds.org and add the name in Photoshop. You can download my update above. It's the very last thing on the post. :)

ReplyDeleteIs there a card for Elder Christensen? I didn't see one but that doesn't mean it's not there. I may have missed it. Thanks!
ReplyDeletehttps://www.mormonnewsroom.org/article/elder-craig-c-christensen
Yup, he's in there. :)
DeleteCan you tell me a little bit about the process of putting it all together? What poster board did you use? Are most things, like the chairs, the map, the podium, etc just glued straight onto the board? Or did you laminate those also? How did you do the pockets? I feel like if things aren't laminated they will get destroyed.
ReplyDeletei printed all the chairs, map, podium etc on full sheet label paper (like stickers) then stuck them on the board then I put contact paper over the board then put on sticky velcro to put the laminated pictures etc on it
DeleteI think that is all on the post. laminate the pockets folded then slice open at the pocket opening.
We have been using this for the past few years and my kids LOVE IT. Still request it and I am printing updates now!
ReplyDeleteI just wanted to drop by and thank you for all your work with this board and updates. We're on year 6 of using our conference board and my kids have grown up with it. Thanks so much! You're a blessing to us!

ReplyDeleteIn April we just did the pulpit with pictures from the center of the Conference Ensign. This time we will add the topics, but we plan to make the full board for April 2019. Thanks for such an amazing resource!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for doing this! We love it! Just wondering if you are planning to add Brian Mathias, who was selected as a new full-time organist for the Tabernacle Choir in January 2018, in a future update. He's a former member of our stake!
ReplyDeleteMy kids and I absolutely love your conference board! Thanks so much for keeping up on the updates!! Do you have the picture for the new organist, Brian Mathias? He was appointed at the beginning of 2018.
