Randoms...

This summer has been jam packed with vacations and fun activities... it seems that when we get home from one thing, I have to get geared up and prepare for the next. As a result, blogging has been put on the back burner, and I have a mile long list of things that need to be documented for my blog book.

Since I don't have time to do a single post for each of these, here are a bunch of random moments that I want to remember.

One evening this Spring, the kids went out "for a walk" in their cars. For some reason (I probably hadn't put it away) Harvey was wearing his life jacket over his clothes. He refused to take that thing off all day.

I LOVE Avery's face in this pic..

Justin and Harvey have this special "trick" they do on the swings. Harvey gets wound up as far as it will go, and then spins like crazy on our tree swing. I imagine it's fun for Harvey, and it's most enjoyable to watch. Especially when we encourage him to walk in a straight line after getting off.

Seriously, that tree swing was the best 20 bucks we've ever spent. Avery loves it just as much as Harvey!

Umm.. some random pictures I have from one of our car trips, that I think are hilarious and don't want to forget. This boy is so crazy and random; he is always making me laugh about one thing or another.

Like this... Justin got this mask on our cruise to Mexico, and Harvey found it when we were cleaning out the laundry room. He would "roar like a wrestler" while swinging, and it was great fun to watch.

We went to the Old Farm Splash Park with Afton and Heather. These two have so much fun together, and we couldn't stand how cute they were in their little cover-ups.

Avery loved her first popsicle (or two)...

... as well as tearing our half a package of baby wipes before I caught her.

AND!!! Avery has now grown out of her dairy allergy. I celebrated by getting an Oreo shake from Arctic Circle. (Although, I have to say, I've gained weight in the last month because of this, and now that I've had my fix of everything I felt deprived of, I'm starting to contemplate cutting out dairy from my diet most of the time.)

Harvey has insisted on dressing himself. (Which I guess, is a better solution than running around outside with only his underwear - inside/out and backwards!)

And he picked and arranged some flowers for me one afternoon. I felt pretty special, and Justin was happy that Harvey lightened his weeding load.

We've been to "Rylie's Pool" (really my brother and sister-in-law's neighborhood pool) a bunch. We love that place!

And lastly... while the house behind us was vacant and the apricot tree in that backyard was ripe, I talked Justin into picking some for me. He climbed the tree and threw fruit down to me.

Our neighbors' dogs kept wondering what we were up to...

... and one got so excited about the fruit, he jumped over to get a taste! I had to catch him before he ran through our tomatoes, but we helped him back over before any damage was done.

Avery sure loved tasting the goods. I had to keep a close eye on her to remove the pits before she could get them into her mouth!

  2. These are wonderful pics Tiff. You are such a great photographer! Avery's face is cracking me up... and I love Afton and Harv in those cute little robes. I'll find the twinner picture of Afton eating apples and send it to you. It's so similar you'll laugh!
