This winter has been unusually lacking in the snow department around these parts. (Not that I'm complaining; the warm weather has been so nice!) So when we actually got some flurries, I decided to take the kids out and get some photos...
Harvey and I had been reading lots of stories about snowmen, so we decided to build our own. Too bad he wasn't as big, or as round, or as friendly as the ones in our books. (Is it just me, or does the snow not quite "stick" like it used to??)
In fact, he was downright puny. And apparently deserving of some kind of reprimand.
So after Harvey mowed our snow... he put that snowman out of his misery.
Avery was pretty upset about that.
We took Harvey sledding at the irrigation field park in our neighborhood. The little slopes were perfect!

Part 2:
Even I handed the camera over and rode down a couple times.
Avery actually squealed in delight on the ride down - it was so cute.
Then we started to get cold. (Apparently I need to get Harvey some real gloves. His hands were freezing!)
And we headed home for some hot chocolate to warm us up...
