Holy Moly! Where does the time go? I can't believe my baby is already a month old!
After it was too late for Harvey, I discovered monthly stickers to add to a onesie each month for a photoshoot and I loved the idea. Then, I saw that Young House Love produced the same effect with Photoshop, and I knew that's what I wanted to do for my future children. Plus they used adorable patterned fabric pieces for a background.
Here is Avery's first month photo:
And I'll do the same pages in her baby book as I made for Harvey's book:
(this is just the same list repeated so I don't have to retype it for my blog book):

Avery:
- is growing fast! At two weeks she already caught up to her birth weight and gained 5 more ounces! The doctor said I don't have to worry about waking her up to eat.
- has already outgrown most of her newborn outfits. Technically she did that before she was born at almost 10 pounds!
- is super mellow. Even her hardest sob is so tiny and sweet. (Sometimes I even let her cry a minute longer just so I can hear it.)
- loves to listen to soft whistles. She will smile and try to talk to you while you whistle her a tune.
- squeaks. Alot. I can't sleep with her in our room so she is across the hall in the nursery. And I can still hear her squeaks over the white noise machine.
- likes her binkis. Mom and Dad are both TOTALLY okay with this.
- took a bottle great when she was 12 days old. (A relief for Mom!)
- loves to be swaddled. If she is unwrapped when she is sleepy she lets us know it's not acceptable.
- hasn't mastered the burp yet. It takes forever to burp her.
- sleeps a ton. Since she was 2.5 weeks old I've gotten 5 and 6 hour stretches at night!
- is strong - her legs fight while you change her diaper, and she can already hold her head up for quite a while.
- loves her big brother. She loves when he talks to her, holds her, or gives her knuckles.
Cute pictures Tiff! I love the blue and brown in the announcement photo! You're so good to stay organized. I still haven't finished Afton's monthly pages!
ReplyDeleteshe is sooo precious!
ReplyDeleteI love the birth announcement! Great picture.
ReplyDeleteI loved your monthly milestones idea so much that I completely stole the idea for Malia's book. Isn't imitation the highest form of flattery? :-)
ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet idea!!! She is adorable
ReplyDeleteShe is so beautiful! She has the most kissable cheeks. I'm happy she is such a good baby.
