The Blahs.

I don't really know what's up. But I'm kind of in a funk.

I don't feel sick.
I don't feel sad.
I do feel exhausted, negative, and unmotivated.
Oh, and easily frustrated.

So I've been thinking. Maybe a way to get out of this funk (besides taking more Vitamin D to supplement the lack of sunshine around these parts) is to start focusing on things that make me happy, energized, and positive. I mean.. if you are what you eat, then feeling what you think sounds pretty reasonable.

So here goes. I've been trying to focus on getting organized (more on that later). And that's a start.

Here are my plans for the future (I mean, it is January after all; the month for new beginnings):

Oh, and I'm also on this once-a-month kick. I just feel like 2010 flew by. I remember just getting settled into October, when all of a sudden I realized November was almost over.

I decided that if I can try to get some great things done just one time per month, I'll be doing great. Here are some things I've thought of...
  • share my testimony
  • make it to the temple
  • 3 people 12 times (more on this later)
  • come up with one fun activity to do with Harvey
  • actually get a babysitter and go on a date with my hubby
  • evaluate my progress and set goals for next month pertaining to my one little word
  • try to plan or be involved with one party
  • participate in at least one i{heart}faces challenge
  • participate in at least one crafty challenge
  • go Visiting TEACHING!
And.. that list is already starting to intimidate me. Baby steps, Tiff.

What do you to get motivated and/or positive?

  1. Oh Tiff, I feel the blahs too! It must be the weather! So my recommendation is to get in the tanning bed this week! LOL!!! It always makes me feel better! They also sell mood lights at Costco (no kidding) and I think they really help! I have suffered from S.A.D. so long that I think I might know what you are feeling! The light really helps! I promise!

  2. Tiff, we must be thinking the same because I was planning on doing a similar post. This weather is nasty and being cooped up inside is awful. It's no wonder we feel this way.

Thanks for talking about goals - it's very motivational!

Let's plan our date night trade soon!

  3. I have also been feeling this way lately. I stumbled upon this article from last October's Conference:

And then I started thinking about what really does matter most, and making priorities.

I've been getting so many spam comments lately, I've decided to disable "anonymous commenting" for a while. Sorry for any difficulty!
