Flashback Friday

Now.. Mexico cruise part two..

The ship. Okay, there's not much to this page, but I had to include the magazine photo I took of the cruise ship!

Our first stop was in San Diego.. and it was on fire. Yeah - pretty much the entire city... it was awful! We have a lot of relatives in Southern California so a few of them met us at the port to hang out for the day. While we were waiting for everyone to show up we walked around the piers to see all the wildlife. I don't think I had ever seen seals this close out in the "wild." It was great.

After everyone arrived, we piled into their cars and headed for our first stop: the temple. Even though I've been there a bunch of times, it never gets old to see that beautiful "castle on the hill." It's so cool to be driving along the freeway, come around the bend and see this goregous structure front and center. Of course, it's even more beautiful inside, but we didn't have time to do a session, so we just took some pictures outside.

Then.. as the layout says, we headed to Old Town because it was pretty much the only remaining thing in town that wasn't compromised by the fires. The air was kind of bad, and us girls felt bad for the guys who had to ride in the convertible! But it made for amazing sunsets.
